Less is more. We use a very high concentration of pure zinc (19%) and a finger swatch amount is often enough to protect the entire face. If you are having trouble achieving a lightweight transparent finish, you are likely using too much.

Spread, don’t rub in. Paint small swatches on my cheeks, nose and forehead and use my fingers to spread the lotion across the rest of my face. Rubbing it in a circular motion will make it more difficult to blend transparently.
