While the SPF 50 Tinted Lotion is great at protecting your skin from the sun, it can be difficult to get out of if it gets on clothing. To avoid this, allow it to set on your skin for at least 15 minutes before coming in contact with clothing to avoid staining. Once Amavara sets in, it will not transfer to clothing, wet suits, or bathing suits. Below are a few solutions when you need a little help removing a stain.
Step 1. Try and treat the stain before it fully dries or before you wash it.
Step 2. After trying multiple stain removing products and natural solutions, the below two stain removers were most effective on both white and colored clothes:
- Method Stain Remover
- Shout Advanced Ultra Concentrated Gel Brush
Step 3. The advantage of both stain products is the scrub brush that comes with them. Amavara is a physical sunscreen, so physically scrubbing at the stain is the most effective way to remove them.
Step 4. If at first, you don’t succeed…. try, try again! Some stain removers take a couple of cycles to remove.
A back up option for those who prefer not to use Stain Removers:
Step 1. Spray stain with WD40.
Step 2. Lightly scrub or scratch with fingernail in all directions to loosen oils from fabric.
Step 3. Spray with Krud Kutter concentrate.
Step 4. Lightly scrub or scratch again.
Step 5. Let soak for about 30 minutes then wash in warm water.
The Krud Kutter not only helps release the stain but also counteracts the WD40 odor.
